This video and information is a bit old now, but I’m sure many have not seen it (and should!). The Witcher 2 will release on consoles on April 17th.
Check out The Avengers trailer. I’m not necessarily a fan of these movies, but Iron Man was pretty good and Thor actually wasn’t all that bad. Scarlett Johansson is in it. Good enough for me. Oh yea AND there is a new American Pie movie with the original cast. Here is the trailer.
It amazes me how much people get out of Minecraft. At times it’s like watching a child as he plays alone in his room creating vast worlds in his mind using only the toys at his disposal. There are limits to what you can do in a video game. Even Minecraft. Yet people entertain themselves endlessly. This guy decided to create a video series of a his travels in Minecraft with only one life to live.
Here’s some sweet info on Skyrim werewolves. Apparently certain races have a resistance to the lycan syndrome-disease-condition-thing. Let’s just call it lycanherpes. Works for me. According to the blog there is no cure for lycanthropy but the condition does have methods of which to be held back.
The Battlefield 3 open beta brought in 8 million players. There is also a BF3 reality show called Operation Gridiron. Here is Episode 1 and Episode 2. At least it’s not a Call of Duty reality show. I don’t think I need to tell you how pathetic that would be.

This is the Episode 1: Inferno trailer for Black Prophecy, the twitch based free-to-play MMO.
If you haven’t given this game a try. You should. The in-space twitch based PVP is top notch. At least it was during closed beta. From what I understand a lot has been added.
You will need a pretty decent system to play it and it looks incredible at high resolution on max settings.
I know there are some Planetside fans out there and no doubt some of them are looking forward to Planetside 2. In case you haven’t seen it here’s the Planetside 2 debut trailer.
I can’t imagine that Planetside 2 will draw in much of a player base . At least not one much larger than the original’s current fan base. Fans of SOE are few and far between. It’s become the punch line to a never ending joke that’s likely repeated at least several hundred times a day across the Internet on forums, chat rooms and other medium.
Gamers hate SOE and for good reason. SOE always promises a great product and then fails to deliver. It somehow manages to hold on to a small but loyal fan base and then proceeds to repeatedly shit on that fan base, altering or removing the aspects of a game that the loyal fan base stuck around for. SOE excels at it to such extent that the only logical conclusion is that it gets its jollies off pissing on gamers (and apparently doesn’t like making more money rather than less money).
Odds are that the first 6 months of Planetside 2 will be semi-eventful and within a year most of the player base will be gone and will again be talking about how SOE made twenty mind blowing mistakes.
SOE believes that Planteside 2 will “revolutionize the FPS genre“. As a friend pointed out there really is nothing being offered in the MMOFPS genre worth mentioning besides Planetside and Planetside 2. If having no competition in the genre is considered revolutionizing then Planetside will succeed, but not where it counts.
